Buteko is another name for a bar in Brazil. I got the shrimp and cheese espetinhos. I also got two pastels, one cheese and one beef.
The espetinhos were served with a salsa and the pastels served with jelly. The cheese espetinho was served with honey.
The espetinhos were served with eggs and farofa.
Farofa is unique to Brazil and its taste and significance is hard to understand without actually trying it. It is basically fried tapioca flour which can be mixed with small pieces of fried bacon and is often served alongside rice and beans.
It was all consumed with chopp, which is arguably Brazil’s national beer.
