This is an Argentina wine, produced in the Mendoza region. The Uco Vally to be specific.

This was actually a blend which is something you don’t normally see from Argentina. But when you do see a blend, it is usually with Cab Franc and Malbec.

Malbec from Uco can have a wonderful tobacco aftertaste to it which this one clearly did. But from the Cab Franc I picked up notes of somehting herbal.

Overall this was a earthy wine yet it had some plum notes at the front.

The vineyard is La Celia and is apparently one of the oldest in Argentina.
